Cecilia
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
As a champion for and proven leader in strategic communication and marketing, Cecilia leads as CEO with nearly 30 years of industry experience.
Before establishing the agency, Cecilia previously served as the first-ever vice president of Communications and Community Relations at one of the largest private equity firms, director of Communications, Business Marketing and Public Engagement for one of the biggest, public housing agencies and senior manager of Corporate Communications for America's largest wireless technology leader. In these roles, she successfully built and developed the organizational or divisional Communication function and structure including its team members, plan, budget and process followed by execution to plan that met or exceeded projections.
In addition, Cecilia served in various PR leadership roles throughout her career in technology, telecommunications, financial services and healthcare. While attending Valdosta State University, she also served as a media relations specialist during the 1992 U. S. Presidential elections on behalf of the 42nd President of the United States William Jefferson Clinton.
Cecilia is a member of the Georgia Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Atlanta Press Club and the Black Public Relations Society of Atlanta (BPRSA).
As an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a charter member of the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Cecilia stays active in the community.
She is also a proud mom of two sons and a daughter. She is known to go on long runs in prep for marathons, read good mystery novels for bookclub, cycle on the open road for charity, travel to places faraway and help others overcome challenges by lending her support to leadership development opportunities, civil and human rights, education and the arts.
She earned an MBA from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Speech Communications/Public Relations from Valdosta State University.
Trey
CULTURE AGENT
Trey is a multimedia specialist and culture agent at Cecintel PR. As a freshman at Jackson State University, founder of No Opportunity Wasted, LLC, and creator of musical artist, Luhbert, he has his finger on the pulse of the culture. Trey serves as a social influencer and multimedia producer.
He also works as a videographer and film editor while majoring in Electrical Engineering at JSU's College of Science Engineering and Technology.
He plays basketball and makes music in his spare time. Trey loves animals and has been the pet owner of three lizards, a turtle and his most beloved Beagle, “Boomer.”
Born in Atlanta, Trey is a member of Cascade United Methodist Church.
Apryl
COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
After earning her BA in Communications from the University of Central Florida, Apryl is now a full-time member of our team! She is still just as eager to continue striving for greatness while gaining experience in real-world public relations and communication endeavors.
Before joining the Cecintel PR team, Apryl was a student at the University of Central Florida where she also worked as a peer mentor in the First-Year Experience office. As a peer mentor for a freshman orientation class, she was responsible for providing crucial support to first-year college students through student coaching. Her other responsibilities included leading and facilitating student-driven events.
Apryl is the third of four children, and an aunt of two nieces. She is inspired by women in leadership roles who dare to defy the status quo.
Apryl was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and she looks forward to working with the Cecintel PR team to help achieve client goals while gaining the necessary knowledge and experience to further her career.
Shelby
CHIEF EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Shelby is the chief executive assistant to the founder and CEO with an emphasis on "chief." Her great attention to detail and excellent time management skills makes her chief "organizer." Shelby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is currently pursuing the path of obtaining her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Shelby is a proud mom and wife of a U.S. Military serviceman.
Barri
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
A Howard University grad and owner of Darkerberry Designs, Barri is a detail-oriented, cutting-edge graphic designer.
Darkerberry Designs combines art and technology to communicate ideas through imaging and various media vehicles through the eyes of a millennial. Barri incorporates the fundamentals of communication design infused with her modern artistic flair to bring life to every project for Cecintel PR's clients.
